The founders of Junifer Systems are an experienced team of IT and billing professionals responsible for building the highly successful Calculus Solutions.
The same management team founded and built Calculus Solutions, a company that raised the expectations of Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom operators, delivering cost effective solutions that provided visible and credible business benefits.
Their vision is to build on their operational experiences in the complex telecommunications billing market and utilise this knowledge to provide highly efficient, flexible and cost-effective back-office solutions for the Utilities market.

Saul Nurtman, Managing Director

With over 20 years experience in the technology and billing sector, Saul was one of the founders of Calculus Solutions in 1998. His leadership at Calculus Solutions quickly established the company as a key telecoms and event-based billing company and Calculus Solutions was sold to Anite Plc in December 2000.
Since then Saul has held senior executive positions at Azure Solutions and Subex Systems. Regarded as a billing industry expert, Saul is a regular conference speaker and holds an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Cape Town.
Paul FitzGerald, Sales and Marketing Director

Paul has worked in the technology and billing sector for over 20 years. He started his career with Logica, working for database company Sybase before co-founding Calculus Solutions in 1998.
Paul was instrumental in developing business with customers such as Telia, Telenor and Interoute which contributed to the company’s success. Following the acquisition of Calculus Solutions by Anite Plc, Paul continued to develop the company’s revenues until 2005.
Prior to co-founding Junifer Systems, Paul worked as in independent consultant focused on early stage companies helping them formulate and drive their sales execution strategy. Paul has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Business Studies from University College Dublin.
Kenton Judson, Operations Director

Kenton has a Computer Science Degree from Southampton University and after working for Price Waterhouse (Management Consultancy Practice) and Sybase Professional Services (Telecoms Practice), he co-founded Calculus Solutions in 1998.
Kenton specialises in managing large, complex implementation projects which deliver solutions that consistently exceed customer expectations. He worked with Calculus Solutions until 2005 when he turned his entrepreneurial focus and operational expertise to early stage, high technology businesses - some based at SETsquared at Southampton University.
Jon Rowland, CTO

Jon has over 15 years experience in building complex technology solutions for blue-chip companies, helping to solve the challenges of high transaction processing billing and usage processing solutions.
He architected the billing software for Calculus Solutions and was responsible for building the engineering capability that underpinned the development and ongoing support of the product suite. Jon then held the roles of Chief Product Architect at Azure Solutions and Subex Systems, where his expertise was critical in the development of market leading products.
Jon’s knowledge, experience and guidance have been used to tailor software solutions to meet the needs of the telecoms, utilities and finance industries. He holds a Masters Degree in Electronic, Computer and Communication Engineering from University of Bradford.
